SunCel, a highly efficacious cellulase, can specially hydrolysis cellulose, eliminate the anti-nutritional effects of cellulose in plant ingredients, and improve the growth or production performance of farming animals.

Being known as an anti-nutritional factor, Non-starch polysaccharides (NSPs) is abundant in some plant ingredients such as wheat, barley, corn, etc., have negative impacts on nutrients digestibility, for example, increasing the viscosity of chyme, encapsulating effect on nutrients, inhibit the activity of digestive enzymes, etc., and affect the intestinal health and growth performance of animals. As one of NSPs, cellulose accounts for large proportion in some plants, and also can prevent the nutrients from being utilized well, which would result in a lower nutrients absorption.

SunCel can hydrolyze cellulose containing β-1,4 glycosidic bond to produce oligosaccharides, contribute to releasing the intracellular nutrients to improve the nutrients digestibility, and improve growth or production performance of animals.

Why Cellulase needed ?

Different from most animal-derived feedstuffs, there is a cell wall structure in plant ingredients, which hinders the digestibility and absorption of intracellular nutrients.

As one of main components of plant cell wall, cellulose plays an important role in maintaining the shape of cell wall, which prevent the nutrients from being released and lower the digestibility of plant ingredients. Cellulase can contribute to hydrolyzing cellulose and breaking cell wall structure, which is beneficial to improving the nutrients utilization. Also, the exogenous cellulase can be a compensation of insufficient endogenous NSP enzymes.
