Sunzyme CP+ is a high-efficient compound enzyme preparation, which was designed according to commercial feed formula, animal’s digestive characteristics and Sunhy database including SUNHY-Ingredients’ nutritional value database, SUNHY-NSPs anti-nutritional factor database, and SUNHY-Biomimetic digestion database. The product is scientifically combined with heat-stable NSP enzymes including xylanase, β-mannanase and pectinase, and commercial digestive enzymes as protease and amylase for efficiently hydrolyzing non-starch polysaccharides (NSPs) in the cell wall, and releasing the protein, carbohydrate and other nutrients in the cells of plant feedstuffs. Sunzyme CP+ is developed to improve the digestibility of dietary nutrients, promote growth performance of farmed animals, and thus reduce the cost of commercial feed. We hope to provide a scientific solution for enhancing feed utilization, and ultimately benefiting for the profit of animal farming.

  • The functions of NSP enzymes

NSP enzymes, xylanase, β-mannanase and pectinase, were included in Sunzyme CP+.

Xylanase can degrade water-extractable arabinoxylan (WEAX) and water-unextractable arabinoxylan (WUAX), both of which are critical portion of non-starch polysaccharides (NSPs) and main anti-nutritional factors in cereal grains. β-mannanase can hydrolyze mannan containing β-1,4 glycosidic bond to produce manno-oligosaccharide, which not only can eliminate the anti-nutritional effect of mannan, but also have positive effects on animal’s intestinal health by the functions from its hydrolysate (manno-oligosaccharide). Pectinase can degrade pectin, another main anti-nutritional factors in the cereal feed. Because highly viscous pectin in animal digestive tracts results in lower digestibility of cereal, and limits the utilization of nutrients.

Thus, a combination of xylanase, β-mannanase and pectinase could specifically hydrolyze non-starch polysaccharides, break the structure of cell wall, release intracellular protein, lipid and carbohydrate of plant ingredients, thereby reducing viscosity of the chyme, increasing the contact between chyme and digestive enzymes, and finally improving the feed efficiency and animal growth.

  • The functions of exogenous digestive enzymes

Sunhy protease is very effective on broad range of pH, and resistant to endogenous digestive enzymes and diverse trace elements. which could degrade a broader range of protein, especially prolamin, keratin, β-glycinin and β-conglycinin, and eventually improve digestibility of valuable protein sources. Amylase is used to hydrolyze both α-1,6 glucosidic linkages and α-1,4 glucosidic linkages in starch, amylopectin, pullulan, and related oligosaccharides, which enables a complete and efficient conversion of the polysaccharides into small fermentable sugars during saccharification process, and finally improve utilize efficiency of energy sources for farmed animals.

Therefore, supplementing commercial digestive enzymes could markedly improve utilization of dietary nutrients and thus push feed producers to reformulate diets with cheaper sources.
